New Haven Diesel Locomotives, Volume 2: DL109s, FA Units, and Demonstrators

Bob Liljestrand's done it again! Here's a fine photo album on diesel rad locos acquired by the New Haven from 1941 to 1951. The book focuses on the Alco DL109 units which entered service during World War II. These streamlined locos are seen pulling passenger and freight trains in far corners of the system, with special emphasis on Boston-area commuter lines including the Old Colony. Other chapters portray Alco FA and FB freight locos, and demonstrator units from Baldwin, Also, and Fairbanks-Morse.
