Thank you for your interest in the Boston Street Railway Association! A non-profit educational organization, the BSRA was founded in 1959 to publish, exhibit, and preserve materials and information relating to all forms of local and regional mass transit. The association also seeks to inform the public of past and present trends in mass transit. We achieve these objectives through monthly meetings, a streetcar restoration program, a bimonthly news magazine (Roll Sign), and special publications.

The BSRA is proud to have over 900 active members from all over Boston, New England, the country, and the world. We welcome and encourage participation by everyone, including the general public. However, being a member of the Boston Street Railway Association does have its perks. In addition to their support of and membership in one of the most well-known transit historical organizations in the country, members receive many exclusive benefits.
